Close-knit culture, acuity, patient visit volume, desirable location.
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
Excellent work culture, wide variety of patient acuity, presentations, and demographics, location in a great city with plenty of interesting downtown and outdoor activities.
What advice do you have for incoming interns?
Go into it with an expedition mindset, lean into transition and discomfort, and enjoy the ride.
What do you like best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
The climate (all four seasons!), lots of hiking, climbing, and other outdoor activities with beautiful scenery, downtown Durham, the food and brewery scene.
What do you like to do outside of Duke?
Hiking, yoga, running, hanging out with my dog, reading novels, baking/cooking.
