The Section of Emergency Medical Services and Disaster Medicine collaborates with Durham County Emergency Medical Services and Duke Life Flight to provide emergency care for our community and beyond.
Section Highlights
- Duke's Dr. Anjni Joiner serves as the Medical Director for Durham County Emergency Medical Services with Dr. Erin Hanlin as Associate Medical Director and Dr. Jessica Wanthal as Assistant Medical Director.
- Dr. Hanlin serves as the Medical Director for Emergency Preparedness for Duke University Hospital.
- Dr. Andrew Godfrey serves as Associate Medical Director for Wake County Emergency Medical Services.
- The strong relationship between Duke Life Flight and Duke Emergency Medicine allows for high-quality patient care to those in the Triangle region and also expands its reach to more distant areas, with Dr. Jason Theiling as Medical Director and Dr. JJ Hoff as Assistant Medical Director.
