The Global Emergency Medicine Innovation and Implementation Research Center (GEMINI) is a collaborative research center within the Duke Department of Emergency Medicine. It connects Duke faculty with collaborators and learners across several locations: Botswana, Brazil, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Singapore, Tanzania, and the United States.
GEMINI develops and evaluates locally relevant approaches to improve access to timely, quality emergency care. The center’s work combines implementation science and data science with long-term institutional partnerships. GEMINI also supports research training, mentorship, and academic exchanges, helping researchers develop and lead projects that respond to priorities within their health systems.
