Duke Emergency Medicine Research Showcase Coming Sept. 14

This year’s annual Duke Emergency Medicine Research Showcase is swiftly approaching!

On Thursday, September 14, the Department of Emergency Medicine will hold an event to highlight the research undertaken by faculty—from local clinical trials to global health services research.

The guest speaker, Dr. Marie-Carmelle Elie, Professor and Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, will challenge the way we see life-threatening medical emergencies through her keynote speech.

Throughout the morning, nine podium speakers and 14 poster station presenters will emphasize their dedication to both their own research and to the department’s vision of “A healthier tomorrow for all, through inclusive, innovative discovery, and collaborative learning.”

Everyone is welcome to attend on the 6th floor in the Trent Semans Center for Health Education building on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th at 5 p.m. by emailing your responses to arladean.arnson@duke.edu or by calling 919-660-7662.
