Sreeja Natesan, MD, Earns CORD Scholar Award

Congratulations to Sreeja Natesan, MD, Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of Emergency Medicine, for receiving the Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors’ (CORD) Academy Scholar Award in the category of Teaching and Evaluation.

The award recognizes outstanding educators who meet rigorous standards of academic excellence. As Assistant Residency Program Director, Dr. Natesan uses her experience and knowledge to train new physicians.

A peer review panel chose Dr. Natesan after careful consideration of her commitment to education.

“Although I have only been an attending for five years, I have discovered that the ability to connect to the learner is key to ensuring they are growing as clinicians and people,” Dr. Natesan says. “Close to my heart is the desire to teach them to not lose sight of the humanity and vulnerability our patients have, and to be stewards of the honor and responsibility we hold as physicians.”
