What were you looking for in a residency program?
A culture of learning with supportive co-residents and attendings, a department that practices evidence-based medicine and is constantly growing and improving based on the latest science to care for our patients, a place where innovation and research is the norm!
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
The attendings are super invested in your learning and growth and are kind! Co-residents who care about you inside and outside the hospital.
What advice do you have for incoming interns?
Enjoy the non-stressful parts of 4th year, spend time with family and friends!
As an intern realize you have a lot to learn but every day you are learning something. Choose a goal for each week (can simply be just drinking enough water).
What do you like best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
I love the amazing restaurants here! So much to do when I'm not on shift.
What do you like to do outside of Duke?
I love trying new restaurants with my husband! Also being a part of the Raleigh Durham pickleball scene. My latest hobby (weird I know) is couponing - it's addictive.
