Curriculum

The Physician Assistant Emergency Medicine Residency Program has a strong emphasis on both clinical and didactic training.

As part of the clinical curriculum, you will be involved in the evaluation and management of a diverse emergency medicine population, including both adult and pediatric patients. You will handle cases involving:

  • Acute care
  • Resuscitation
  • Critical care
  • Urgent clinical care
  • Clinical observation unit
  • Airway rotation
  • EMS ride along program

You will attend weekly didactic lecture series, educational seminars, journal club, simulations, and skills laboratories taught by our distinguished emergency medicine faculty. This intensive training program has been designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the pathophysiology and treatment of disease and traumatic injuries. Topics include all aspects of the practice of emergency medicine.
