Schedule for Duke Global Health Fellowship Program Track
Fellows from the Duke Department of Emergency Medicine will extend their training by an additional 24 months in order to gain specific global health core competencies and an additional advanced degree.
These fellows will have already completed a three- or four-year ACGME-approved emergency medicine residency program.
Each fellow will enter the program as either a PGY-4 or PGY-5, depending on whether the fellow completed a three- or four-year emergency medicine residency program.
Timeline
PGY-4 or PGY-5
- International Site: 1.5 months
- MSc-GH + Independent Study: 9 months
- Attending physician (Duke ED)
PGY-5 or PGY-6
- International Site: 6 to 12 months
- Attending physician (Duke ED)
